Position Overview: RN ED Part Time Nights

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver professional nursing care within a designated unit. You will collaborate with various disciplines to coordinate care planning. This role involves providing individualized, age-appropriate, and direct bedside nursing care tailored to patient needs. You will take on supervisory responsibilities by assessing, planning, delegating, and exercising independent judgment in guiding other healthcare personnel in delivering patient care. You will systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices to establish patient objectives. Participation in hourly rounding and adherence to safety protocols and best practices is essential. Occasionally, you may be required to lead a shift.

Essential Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members are crucial. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, occasionally experiencing above-average pressure. Excellent customer service skills and basic computer proficiency are required. Experience in CVICU or ICU is highly preferred, or a minimum of two years in Cardiac Stepdown.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Minimum Experience: For Level II EQ Only: A minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience, including neonatal ventilator management.

Preferred Experience: One year of acute care experience is preferred, but new graduates will be considered. Certification in a specialty area of practice is advantageous.

Required Certifications/Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona. CPR and ACLS as applicable to the facility or department.

For specific areas such as ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab, and L&D, ACLS certification is required upon completion of orientation. Additional certifications may be necessary based on the unit's needs.

Required Training: For L&D only: Advanced Fetal Monitoring or equivalent must be obtained within six months of hire.

Preferred Certifications/Registration: For OR: ACLS certification.
