Position Overview:

The Refrigeration Engineer will play a crucial role in designing and implementing projects across various sectors, including Health Care, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, and Food Processing. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the sales and engineering of mechanical building and process utility systems, focusing on chilled water, steam, compressed air, HVAC medical gases, and refrigeration systems (including ammonia, CO2, and Freon).
  • Engage in estimating, designing, and managing construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Initiate and support the establishment of industrial ammonia refrigeration facilities.
  • Participate in project meetings with stakeholders to review design specifications and criteria.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets, delivering projects on schedule.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and team members, fostering professional development.
  • Actively contribute to achieving company objectives related to productivity and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in the design-build construction process.
  • Familiarity with fast-track construction methodologies.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD, with strong estimating skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant Mechanical, Refrigeration, HVAC, and Plumbing codes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
