Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our team at the Brain Injury Association of Colorado, Inc. The successful candidate will provide individual and group therapy to brain injury survivors, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions and a trauma-informed approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to brain injury survivors, focusing on strength-based treatment and person-centered care.
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to develop individualized service plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with internal and external providers to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to federal, state, and BIAC Clinical Services guidelines.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work or counseling.
  • Clinical licensure: LCSW, LPC-S, or LCP with additional state required supervisor education, PsyD.
  • CBIS certification (acquired within one year of employment and maintained through continuing education).
  • Two years or more of experience delivering clinical services to individuals, families, and groups.
  • Experience with substance misuse interventions, trauma-informed care, and strength-based therapy interventions.
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel within the region served.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year or more of experience delivering clinical services in a group setting.
  • Knowledge of community, state, and federal resources for brain injury, disability, or human services specific to the region served.
