Job Summary

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations of a large Clinical Engineering Department. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure a quality, cost-effective program that meets or exceeds the expectations of large accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee department operations, including conducting regular visits and meetings, ensuring timely delivery of client reports, and maintaining a safe working environment that meets all regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure financial performance by reviewing department head visits and meetings, maintaining PM/CM completion targets, and being actively involved in capital asset planning and purchasing.
  • Manage and develop technical personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure smooth communication and reporting to administrators at each site, including conducting meetings and forwarding customer/vendor communications.
  • Provide professional growth and development opportunities for team members, focusing on all technologies.
  • Network with peers to gain innovative ideas and information.
  • Grow the program by building relationships with clinical department heads and maintaining positive relationships with administrators.
  • Manage contracts and analyze financial metrics to maintain benchmark goals.
  • Oversee large account performance, including managing 80% of acute care facilities, combined inventories, and total inventory value.
  • Manage high-end imaging equipment, including CT, MRI, Radiation Therapy, and Cath Labs, and identify and manage technical staff to minimize service costs.
  • Motivate and mentor staff to perform at high levels of expertise and productivity, focusing on cost reduction strategies.
  • Make effective decisions based on sound judgment, data, and experience, considering implications and consequences.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with various positions and individuals across national, division, and facility levels.

Requirements

Education:

  • Associates Degree in a related field required.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.

Experience:

  • At least five years of experience as a CE Manager.
  • Must have financial management skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of all elements of National CE Program and/or industry standard clinical engineering management.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Strongly Preferred: Professional certifications (i.e., CBET, CHTM).

Must-Haves

  • Must have state license - WA.
  • Candidate must have USA Hospital setting experience.
  • Min five years of experience as a CE Manager.
  • Must have financial management skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of all elements of National CE Program and/or industry standard clinical engineering management.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Professional certifications i.e., CBET, CHTM
