We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Nurse Specialist to join our team in Taos County, NM. As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse with Protouch Staffing, you will play a crucial role in providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including a prescriber, clinical therapist, employment specialist, and substance abuse specialist. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting psychiatric health assessments, assessing physical health needs, making referrals to community physicians, managing and administering medication in conjunction with the prescriber, and providing a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services.

You will also share administrative responsibility with medical assistants and other ancillary staff, ensuring seamless coordination of care for our clients.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • An Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Nursing Practice from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a psychiatric nurse provider, with a strong background in mental health nursing
  • CURRENT RN licensure in New Mexico
  • CPR and First Aid certification
