Job Title: Senior Clinician

Chesterfield County, VA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinician to join our Mental Health Support Services team. As a Senior Clinician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality clinical services to individuals with serious mental illness.

Job Summary:

The Senior Clinician will be responsible for coordinating referrals, intakes, and orientations at Chester House. This includes meeting with individuals and relevant others to complete comprehensive needs assessments, prior authorizations, and individualized service plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of recovery-oriented services and be able to develop and implement person-centered individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate referrals, intakes, and orientations at Chester House
  • Complete comprehensive needs assessments, prior authorizations, and individualized service plans
  • Develop and implement person-centered individualized treatment plans
  • Respond to and intervene in urgent and crisis situations
  • Maintain a small caseload and lead groups
  • Maintain administrative and clinical recording of work as required
  • Conduct collateral contacts with family of clients or other community caregivers involved with client
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Human Services or related field
  • Three years of experience in community mental health with adults diagnosed with serious mental illness
  • Experience completing recovery-oriented, person-centered individualized service plans
  • Experience completing clinical assessments
  • Licensed mental health professional or license eligible
  • Current valid driver's license and good driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to complete comprehensive needs assessments and formulate person-centered individualized treatment plans
  • Knowledge of recovery language and recovery-oriented services
  • Computer proficiency skills in Microsoft Office Suite
