Job Summary

The Division of Cardiology within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist with expertise in Electrophysiology to join our team.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions, as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience.

The successful candidate will be part of a well-coordinated team approach to care, working alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, echocardiography technicians, exercise physiologists, and patients and their families.

We strive for excellence in service and clarity in communication with our patients' families and with their physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care at American Family Children's Hospital and participating outreach locations.
  • Clinical responsibilities will include coverage of the ambulatory and inpatient pediatric electrophysiology service, interpretation of ambulatory diagnostics and monitors, and performance of electrophysiology studies, ablations, and pacemaker implantation.
  • Carry out independent research/scholarly activity in an area of interest to the candidate and the division.
  • Teach to a variety of learners, including medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.
Requirements
  • Completion of an ACGME-approved pediatric residency program.
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Cardiology with a 4th year in Electrophysiology.
  • Experience in an academic medical setting preferred.
