Job Summary:
This Administrative Assistant position is located at the Salina Area Office and provides clerical support for the Construction Office through receptionist duties, data entry, filing, and various other assigned duties. The incumbent serves as assistant and backup to the Area Office Manager and assists more experienced technicians with day-to-day paperwork to allow them more time in the field mentoring others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compose, review, and proofread construction reports and associated paperwork to ensure project and contract information accuracy.
- Obtain information from various sources to research, review, and prepare documents necessary for preconstruction meetings and project processes.
- Front desk reception duties, including filing project records, contractor payrolls, EEO reports, and confidential personnel filing.
- Employee and equipment time entry.
- Process payments.
- Enter data, run reports, and assist with supplies and inventory.
Requirements:
- Six months of experience in general office, clerical, or administrative support work.
- Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency. Transcripts are required for education to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer experience.
- Accounting knowledge.
Post-Offer/Pre-employment Requirements:
- This position is subject to pre-employment physical testing. The selected candidate will be required to pass the screening as a condition of employment.
- Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate required in accordance with Executive Order.
