Business Banking Team Leader Job Description

The Business Banking Team Leader will play a critical role in driving segment growth by leading a team of Relationship Managers to execute against our strategy and develop new business relationships. This role requires a strong understanding of business banking, commercial lending, and treasury management products, as well as excellent leadership and relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Relationship Managers to drive growth and profitability for new and existing relationships within their portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain an extensive network of business contacts, COIs, community leaders, and other referral sources to develop new business and generate revenue.
  • Work closely with the Market President and Segment Leader to help shape culture and drive the strategic vision of the segment.
  • Develop and present effective credit proposals/memos for consideration and work with senior leadership and credit to negotiate quality loans within our established policy and guidelines.
  • Ensure and uphold operational integrity amongst the team by complying with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
Key Skills/Experience:
  • At least 7+ years of Business Banking Relationship Management sales experience and 3+ years of experience leading a sales team.
  • Strong knowledge of treasury management and analysis products, with the ability to analyze cash flow and effectively price and recommend customized solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in business/commercial credit, financial analysis techniques, and lending policy, with the ability to package and present credit deals to segment leadership and credit team.
  • Proven track record of developing and coaching high-performance sales and service teams.
  • Proven track record of business development success, commercial loan origination, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience managing relationships for diverse business types, across multiple industry sectors and markets.
  • Candidates must have a seasoned business network of centers of influence and business clients.
  • Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor's, and/or Master's) preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required.

The estimated salary range for this position is $165,000 to $190,000. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
