Job ResponsibilitiesThe Lube and Tire Technician, also known as General Service Technician, is an entry-level position that serves as an excellent starting point for your career at Monro.
From day one, you will embark on a comprehensive training program covering all facets of your new role. As a General Service Technician, you will play a vital role in performing maintenance services on customer vehicles.More importantly, you will collaborate with your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while utilizing your technical skills to ensure our guests have safe and reliable transportation.
Key Duties Include:- Changing, mounting, and installing tires.
- Removing wheels, repairing and balancing tires, and conducting patch/plug repairs.
- Performing quick lube services such as lubrication and oil changes.
- Inspecting and rotating tires.
- Conducting basic automotive maintenance tasks, including battery installations.
- Receiving training to perform alignments, brake services, and scheduled maintenance.
The hourly pay range for this position is $19.19, with eligibility for additional compensation and incentives based on experience.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in the automotive field.
- Possession of a basic set of mechanic tools or participation in a tool purchase program.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Positive attitude and a collaborative approach.
- Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as an Automotive Technician or in Lube and Tire services.
