Job Summary

We are a growing HVAC company headquartered in North Charleston, SC seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, heating and air conditioning units, and other refrigeration systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, lubricating parts, and checking system pressures to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any issues with HVAC systems, identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and protocols during the installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and prevent malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to develop and implement strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of HVAC systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the field of HVAC and refrigeration technology.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience with HVAC, Commercial HVAC, heating and air conditioning, and HVAC System troubleshooting and repair.
  • EPA Certification is required.
  • NATE Certification is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques used in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant safety standards and protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment as needed.
