Job Description

The Senior Bathroom Design Consultant will work in a retail environment with customers and builders to assist with the design and product selection process. This position will also follow up with customers and builders to ensure the job is completed in a timely manner.

The Senior Bathroom Design Consultant must also possess an extensive knowledge of the products they represent and the ability to serve their client's needs. This position will also solicit new accounts and make job site visits.

Responsibilities include:

  • Soliciting new accounts, conducting job site visits, and prospecting for new projects
  • Greeting clients to the design center, assessing clients' needs, and assisting the customer with product selection and ordering appropriate materials and quantities for the projects
  • Conducting pre-construction site inspections and measurements
  • Performing automated design capability within stock and semi-custom product categories
  • Conducting bid and prep proposal functions
  • Ordering project materials
  • Arranging project schedules, subcontractor schedules, and material deliveries
  • Acting as the liaison between the customer, materials vendors, and subcontractors
  • Reviewing assigned accounts to ensure payments and credits are processed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintaining current knowledge of daily and monthly sales and their relationship to margin goals
  • Understanding all aspects of customer billing cycles, cash vs. credit, and how to figure and process a deposit by having a thorough knowledge of the paperwork flow and distribution process
  • Maintaining an active file of new and existing customers
  • Insuring all vendor literature is maintained and presented or stored in a clean, neat fashion
  • Coordinating delivery to contractor-remodeler customers on an as-needed basis
  • Maintaining a clean, neat, professional-looking showroom
  • Participating in semi-annual inventory
  • Knowing the pricing multipliers and current lead times for all cabinet lines, countertop fabricators, and all miscellaneous products available
  • Understanding the receiving process and the paperwork associated with the process. Calling vendors to follow up on any backordered items
  • Knowing the warranty policies of all items sold. Being able to order such items when requested by the customer
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 60 hours of NKBA professional development programming or equivalent technical degree preferred
  • 3-7 years of Kitchen & Bath industry experience required
  • Advanced computer-aided drafting skills, salesmanship, good verbal communication skills, and design presentation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of kitchen and bathroom design, general knowledge in all aspects of design and construction, and of building materials
  • A valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in the state of sales activity required
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
