About the Role

Dawn Foods is a global leader in bakery manufacturing and ingredients distribution. As a Maintenance Technician III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our 11-line food manufacturing facility, which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery, equipment, and electrical devices
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned and complete scheduled work orders on time
  • Log work into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical devices as needed
  • Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, and HVAC equipment as needed
  • Repair and maintain facility as needed
  • Ensure all repairs and preventative maintenance are done in compliance with GMP's, IFS standards, and SOP's to ensure food safety
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of mechanic experience, food manufacturing a plus
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electronic devices used in low voltage, 3-phase 208/230/480V, power distribution, control wiring, etc.
  • Able to use shop tools and equipment such as lathe, drill press, cutting torch, welder, hand drill, reciprocating saw, grinder, etc.
  • Experience with HVAC, steam generators, air compressors, wastewater treatment, inkjet printers, VFDs, HMIs, PLCs, modulating valves, conveyors, scraped surface heat exchangers, and similar equipment
  • Possess and utilize personal toolset

  • Physical duties involved in performing this position include but are not limited to lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, bending, standing, crouching, reaching overhead, and climbing
  • Team members must also be able to lift 50lbs
  • Temperature fluctuates with the season - colder during the winter/warmer during the summer
  • Working around heavy machinery - hearing protection required in production area
