Job Overview

Mechanical Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a dependable mechanical maintenance technician to guarantee the efficient operation of all machinery and equipment within our facility. The responsibilities of the mechanical maintenance technician include diagnosing malfunctioning equipment, executing necessary adjustments to machinery, performing maintenance tasks methodically, communicating issues to the team, and enhancing technical expertise through ongoing training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute various tasks to install and maintain production machinery and the facility's equipment
  • Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance services
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operations and perform scheduled maintenance during machine downtime
  • Prepare and configure machinery for planned production runs
  • Utilize mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machinery
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on various equipment and building maintenance
  • Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform necessary maintenance and services
  • Diagnose issues, replace or repair components, test, and make adjustments
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in the execution of duties
  • Safely operate and repair forklifts
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

  • Proven experience as an industrial mechanic
  • Degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering field
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to think critically and logically
  • Capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment
  • Good physical strength and stamina
  • Ability to remain composed and act responsibly in emergencies
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
