Job Summary:
Egan Company is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our Industrial Controls team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing on-site support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning of control systems and automation equipment at client sites across North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to client locations to commission, troubleshoot, and maintain control systems and automation equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with control systems, PLC and HMIs, and related hardware and software.
- Ensure proper connections of components, sensors, actuators, and other devices as required for control system commissioning.
- Provide technical support and training to clients' personnel to ensure the proper operation, either remotely or in-person.
- Maintain accurate records of all service visits, equipment configurations, and changes made to control systems.
- Assist in the testing and quality checks of control systems to ensure they meet design and project specifications.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement control system upgrades, modifications, and enhancements.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Associate of Science (A.S.), Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.), or equivalent technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in related fields.
- Familiarity with Google Suite, including Sheets, Docs, Gmail, and Drive.
- A valid Driver's License and the ability to operate company vehicles.
