Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Engineer to join our New Shepard Avionics team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our team, you will design and develop high-performance avionics hardware for our reusable suborbital rocket system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop FPGA architectures, designs, and verification plans for safety-critical spacecraft hardware
  • Implement HDL designs using Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL
  • Author technical documentation for complex electronics and ensure compliance with DO-178 and DO-254 guidelines
  • Collaborate with launch vehicle Avionics systems experts and technical leads to drive requirements definition, modeling, analysis, design, test, and production release of on-vehicle systems
  • Participate in flight support activities and contribute to a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience with FPGA/ASIC design, and FPGA tool flow in a Linux environment
  • Experience designing and developing high-performance FPGA solutions for use in highly integrated systems
  • Full product life cycle development experience, from requirements development through final release
  • Experience with Modelsim, Questasim simulators, and Synopsys tools for design

  • Competitive salary range: $167,088.00-$233,923.20 (CA), $153,636.00-$215,090.40 (CO), $167,088.00-$233,923.20 (WA)
