Overview

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Firmware Engineer II, you'll play a critical role in the development, implementation, verification, and testing of firmware for our FPGA-based designs. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the safe and repeatable operation of our spaceflight systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop firmware requirements in coordination with systems engineering, hardware engineering, software engineering, and subsystem owners
* Design and verify FPGA firmware using hardware description languages
* Develop tests and associated documentation
* Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, aerospace, or related fields
* 2+ years of FPGA/ASIC design and verification work experience
* Experience in writing RTL using Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL (SystemVerilog desired)
* Experience with ModelSim/QuestaSim or equivalent simulators
* Experience with FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Lattice Diamond/Radiant, or Microchip Libero
* Strong fundamentals in FPGA design concepts, CDC, constraint definition, STA, and timing closure
