Hardware Development Lead

At EVONA, we're seeking a skilled Hardware Development Lead to drive the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge hardware systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for leading the development cycle, from requirements gathering and definition to design, manufacturing, testing, and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design next-generation hardware systems, including sensors and systems.
  • Lead the development team through all phases of the development cycle, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Implement best engineering practices and contribute to the company's engineering culture.
  • Design, document, and test new hardware designs, including planning and estimation of required tasks.
  • Develop and document requirements and specifications of digital hardware and systems.
  • Engage with internal and external customers to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record as a technical team leader, with experience managing and maintaining interdisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment with changing priorities and demonstrated experience mixing serial hardware development with software development using Agile methodology.
  • Experience working with Altium circuit design and layout tool packages or similar complex development tools.
  • Experience with large FPGAs and high-speed Multi-Gbps transceivers, including signal integrity analysis and implementation of copper transmission paths.
  • Experience with low-speed interfaces, such as USB, SPI, UART, and SpaceWire.
  • Experience with designing multi-giga-sample ADCs and DACs.
  • Board bring-up, debugging, and validation experience, including development of Test Procedures.
  • Experience designing for Space/Radiation environments.
  • Electrical Systems Engineering experience, including deriving requirements from end-use applications.
