Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and engineering laboratory functions, including the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modification of mechanical or electromechanical materials, devices, assemblies, subassemblies, systems, and products.
  • Perform a variety of duties in the electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, chemical, or optical areas.
  • Build or assemble prototype materials, components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
  • Construct, operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, maintain, and test equipment, systems, or products.
  • Perform tests, analyze data, and write reports.
  • Maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of development, testing, and analysis.
  • Assist in the transfer of technology and contribute to cross-functional discussions regarding device performance allegations.
Requirements:
  • Associated degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMM, DC power supplies, etc.).
  • Good technical writing skills.
  • Ability to read electrical prints and schematics.
