The Role

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Communications to manage the image and public perception of our brand. As a key member of our team, you will develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to enhance brand awareness with press, industry, and prospects. Your expertise will be crucial in crafting high-quality messaging across various channels, including press releases, website content, social media, and marketing materials.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute communication strategies to elevate brand awareness and reputation
  • Craft and deliver compelling messaging across various channels
  • Manage media relations, leveraging existing relationships and cultivating new ones
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify key narratives and develop creative storytelling angles
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Lead crisis communication efforts, developing protocols and strategies to effectively manage potential issues or reputational challenges
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • 7-10 years of experience in communications roles, with a strong track record of delivering impactful work
  • Experience in enterprise technology and logistics/supply chain industry
  • Demonstrated execution orientation with an ability to move fast and take an outcome-driven approach
  • Proven experience driving impact in a startup environment
  • Exceptional writing skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to craft compelling narratives
  • Deep understanding of media dynamics and relevant relationships within the logistics/supply chain industry
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new topics and industries
  • Strong creativity and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to connect the dots and craft compelling stories
