We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Velocity Urgent Care, a leading healthcare provider in the region. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and support services within our Urgent Care Clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide non-clinical support to patients and staff, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and responding to patient inquiries.
  • Coordinate referrals, resources, and pre-authorizations as needed, and communicate with patients and providers to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Employ initiative and independent judgment to prioritize and handle incoming requests and complex problems.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of clerical or customer service experience, with one year of experience in health insurance plans, medical records data, medical terminology, registration, scheduling, or third-party payers.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems preferred.
