Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of our community's success, providing technical expertise and guidance to the maintenance team. They will be responsible for implementing scheduled maintenance, responding to service requests, managing vendors, and communicating with residents. The ideal candidate will be an expert on their community, working closely with and directing a team of maintenance professionals to ensure the community is in excellent condition for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the General Manager to ensure seamless property operations.
  • Repair and enhance the community's facilities, providing training to other team members as needed.
  • Build positive relationships with residents by offering a smile and a greeting, and chatting with them as you make repairs in their homes.
  • Manage service requests, collaborating with teammates and prioritizing requests to earn trust and build resident satisfaction.
  • Prepare and execute the summer turn, partnering with the property manager to ensure vendors are ready and organizing the team for a smooth and impeccable turn.
  • Tend to preventive maintenance, safeguarding equipment with regular tune-ups to help it last longer and minimize costly repairs.
  • Notice the details, walking the property daily to inspect all areas for cleanliness and safety, and helping to maintain great curb appeal.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on general maintenance experience.
  • HVAC experience.
  • EPA Certification (Type I & II or Universal).
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Rotating on-call responsibility for after-hours emergencies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with computers, including word processing, calendar management, and property management software.
  • Valid driver's license and/or access to reliable transportation.
  • Carbon Literacy Certification or willingness to undertake training.

This position is eligible for a housing discount equivalent to a standard 1 bed x 1 bath unit at this Yugo property, pending unit availability on site.

This list is not exhaustive, but in short, the main responsibility is to take pride in the function and safety of the property, ensuring the standard is great for our residents. This position is paid biweekly at a rate of $27.00/hour.
