Position Overview:
The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for comprehensive accounting functions, contract oversight, and supporting the preparation of various reports, job cost evaluations, internal and external audits, as well as federal and state tax submissions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to and actively promote all safety protocols, including the reporting of accidents and incidents to uphold our core value of Safety first in all operations.

Accounting Duties:

  • Cash Management - including transaction recording, reporting, and analysis.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable Management.
  • Fixed Asset Management - overseeing acquisition, disposal, depreciation, rate analysis, and maintaining databases for equipment tracking.
  • General Ledger Management.

Job Cost Evaluation:

  • Equipment - analyzing equipment usage, conducting data assessments, and preparing monthly management reports along with ad hoc reports as required.
  • Labor/Materials/Others - performing evaluations as issues arise.
  • Generating job cost reports upon request.

Contract Oversight:

  • Managing documentation and project setup within the ERP system.
  • Facilitating the owner payment application process.
  • Administering subcontractor agreements.
  • Managing joint venture billing and cost oversight.
  • Coordinating extensively with project teams to achieve the above tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (preferred) or Business Administration.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed asset management.
  • Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Preferred experience in financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint software is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong computer and ERP skills.
