Overview

The Senior Manager of Innovation Strategy will lead the ideation and formulation of our Innovation Strategy. This role will focus on identifying future opportunities for the company, including new therapeutic areas, innovative ingredient solutions, and the application of medical technology to support our communities. The position encompasses developing a strategic pipeline and executing specific initiatives to realize this vision.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently while effectively articulating their vision supported by a solid business rationale. Strong collaborative skills are essential for working with cross-functional teams to develop concepts and establish a clear activation and launch strategy. A comprehensive skill set across the innovation spectrum, from concept generation and validation to project management and commercial activation, is required. A creative mindset with a proven track record of devising innovative solutions to complex challenges is preferred. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and ensure alignment across various teams.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Brand Management, Marketing Strategy, or Innovation Management
  • At least 3 years of experience in an innovation-focused role
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Therapeutic Nutrition
  • Proven track record of developing and executing sales-enhancing strategies

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position typically operates in an office setting, but responsibilities may occasionally require engagement in a manufacturing environment, necessitating adherence to all safety and security protocols.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The role involves the ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, as well as standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Proficiency in using a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other necessary tools is required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 15 to 25% travel may be necessary for attending trade shows, patient events, and sales meetings
Responsibilities
  • Develop the Innovation Strategy for The Ladders, focusing on identifying new market opportunities through innovative solutions and associated technologies.
  • Utilize previous experiences to build the Innovation Pipeline, leading initiatives from ideation to product launch.
  • Collaborate with the Innovation Strategy Department to analyze market landscapes, industry trends, patient insights, and competitive activities as a foundation for the pipeline strategy.
  • Define target product profiles to guide development and identify key success factors for projects.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment with the strategy and facilitate smooth transitions to commercial activation.
  • Support evaluations of potential acquisitions to accelerate entry into new therapeutic areas.
