Responsibilities of the Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

  • Administer nursing care to patients following the physician's care plan
  • Operate under the supervision of a registered nurse while adhering to all regulatory standards
  • Record all nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Relay patient progress to appropriate stakeholders
  • Engage in the development of patient care plans
  • Guarantee safe and effective delivery of care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training sessions

Qualifications Required:

  • Valid LPN license in Oklahoma
  • Prior experience in hospice nursing is preferred
  • Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing is advantageous
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation

Physical Demands:

  • Moderate physical activity, including the lifting and repositioning of patients
  • Good visual and auditory capabilities
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
