Job Overview:

The Fraud Investigation Specialist is tasked with conducting preliminary and/or less complex inquiries into both internal and external fraudulent activities and taking appropriate actions based on findings.

Responsibilities:
  • Operates independently while receiving guidance from senior staff to investigate instances of fraud.
  • May represent the organization in court proceedings and other banking events requiring security presence.
  • Assists in the management of court orders (subpoenas) linked to criminal and civil cases.
  • Initiates investigations and responds to urgent situations such as robberies, burglaries, and bomb threats.
  • Collaborates with law enforcement agencies on bank robbery investigations.
  • May look into misuse of authority, forced balancing, and other potential legal violations.
  • May prepare and present training on fraud detection and loss prevention to bank employees or other agencies as directed by management.
Qualifications:
  • Work experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
  • Proficient in MS applications and various databases, with a quick ability to learn new software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective analytical skills and independent decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of resolving issues with customers, vendors, law enforcement, suspects, and legal representatives.
  • Willingness to travel as needed within the company's operational area.
  • Must uphold confidentiality at all times.
