My Place Home for the Homeless, Inc. is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play a critical role in shaping the organization's mission and ensuring its continued success.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement policies to drive the organization's performance
Provide strategic governance and oversight to ensure the organization's growth and professionalism
Represent My Place Home to stakeholders and act as an ambassador for the organization
Build relationships and network on behalf of My Place Home
Approve the annual budget and make financial forecasts
Fundraise and secure donations to support the organization's mission
Select and hire an Executive Director
Serve on committees and task forces to drive progress and effectiveness
Monitor progress and challenges on a quarterly basis
Review outcomes and metrics to evaluate impact and performance
Ensure a diverse Board and quality staff members
Requirements:
Passion for serving homeless communities
Knowledge of business development and planning, finance, and fundraising
Leadership experience in the nonprofit sector or social work
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and passion for improving lives
Commitment:
Three-year term with the option to re-appoint for one additional term
Quarterly Board meetings and committee meetings coordinated with full Board meetings
Annual contributions commensurate with capacity to support the organization's mission
