Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist Level 2 to join our team in Radiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing technical duties, including imaging procedures that apply ionizing radiation and other forms of energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality images and work independently.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of radiology protocols.
  • Work with physicians and physician assistants during IV contrast administration.
  • Perform daily QA/QC imaging.
  • Collaborate with radiology staff, including doctors, nurses, clerical, and support staff.
  • Operate a C-arm during O.R. procedures.
  • Demonstrate complete independent competency in General Radiology.
  • Instruct students in routine general x-ray exams.
  • Apply radiation protection knowledge, including proper technical factors, collimation, and shielding.
  • Maintain room inventory and equipment checklist.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed before the examination.

Requirements:

  1. Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH); and
  2. One (1) year of Radiologic Technologist experience performing duties consistent with Assignment Level I
