We see over 110,000 emergency room visits and 500,000 outpatient visits annually, making us a hub for medical innovation and education. Our Level I Trauma Center provides around-the-clock care in adult, pediatric, psychiatric, and pediatric psychiatric emergencies, as well as in cardiology, neurology, toxicology, and neonatology.
Job Summary:This role involves responsible supervisory, administrative, and clinical activities, including day-to-day supervision of an operating segment of the Radiology department. The successful candidate will perform specialized imaging procedures with diagnostic and interventional radiography, or supervise the delivery of radiological services.
Responsibilities:- Supervise the delivery of radiological services, ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.
- Recommend changes and improvements to the delivery of radiological services.
- Develop and implement training programs for radiographic personnel, ancillary personnel, and allied health care professionals.
- Perform radiologic procedures, as required.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including coordination, control, and maintenance of technical equipment.
- Coordinate procurement and storage of supplies, and make recommendations regarding supply and equipment needs.
- Participate in research and special projects involving evaluation of equipment and delivery of service.
For Supervisory Assignments:
- A valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH.
- Two (2) years of Radiologic Technologist experience performing duties consistent with Assignment Levels I and II, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
For Specialized Imaging Assignments:
- A valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH.
- Possession of a current advanced-level certification for the performance of these procedures.
