Veterinary Care Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Veterinary Assistant to join our team at The Animal Hospital. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures
- Monitor hospital patients and log vital signs
- Administer medications to patients as needed
- Perform departmental housekeeping duties and maintain client educational material
- Admit and discharge patients, and process prescription refills
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to multi-task, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and provide excellent customer service. A high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of related experience or training, are required.
