About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Care Professional to join our team as a Medication Manager at Sunrise Senior Living. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and services by administering medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner. This will involve reviewing and documenting medication administration, observing resident responses, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Review and document medication administration records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Observe resident responses to medications and report any adverse reactions or concerns to the Resident Care Director (RCD) or Wellness Nurse.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident information, including medication lists and other sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with the RCD and Wellness Nurse to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Participate in daily Cross Over meetings to discuss resident care and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; certifications and ongoing training may be necessary depending on state/provincial regulations.
  • Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality care and services that meet the unique needs of each resident.
