Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

 

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Professional to join our team as a Project Engineer in the Eastern Division Regional Office, Cincinnati, Ohio. This role will involve working on construction projects in the mid-west, requiring moderate to extensive overnight travel to project work sites in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia.

The successful candidate will report to project management and assist members of our site team. Opportunities for career advancement are expected as the employee gains knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the project field office operation and organization.
  • Understand the project plans and specifications for Ben Hur's scope of work.
  • Perform field observations, troubleshoot problems, assist with field measurements and data compilation, maintain project records, logs, project drawings and documents.
  • Assist with project status documentation, collection, and reporting of job costs.
  • Understand the erection plan, safety plan, schedule, and quality control and inspection aspects of the project.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • A degree in engineering, technology sciences, construction management or equivalent with emphasis on STEM.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with initiative-taker attributes to manage, complete, and meet expectations and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to accuracy, details, and project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, scheduling and drawing software.
  • Able to understand and communicate with construction documents.

Benefits:

This is an entry-level permanent position starting in November 2024 with an initial assignment on-site at a project in Columbus, Ohio. The employee will be provided specific safety education and training as an entry-level position. This position does not require design responsibilities; however, an understanding of basic structural steel analysis and design is a requirement.
