Genuine Home Health LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Home Care Specialist to join our team. As a DSP, you will work directly with patients in their homes, providing personalized care and support.
Responsibilities- Daily Living Support: Assist with daily activities, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, and personal hygiene assistance as needed.
- Community Engagement: Facilitate clients' participation in community activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience.
- Transportation: Assist with transportation needs, including driving clients to and from community outings (mileage reimbursement provided for approved activities).
- Relationship Building: Establish a trusting relationship with clients to promote confidence, social skills, and independence.
- Scheduling: Primarily work afternoon shifts (4 PM – 8 PM) five days a week, with occasional morning availability if required by the client's mother.
- Reporting: Monitor clients' behavior and overall well-being, providing detailed reports to the agency and family as necessary.
- Certification: DODD DSP certification training (DSP training will need to be done prior to starting).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: One-year prior professional experience preferred.
- Driver's License: Required - clean driving record for min 2 years and automobile insurance.
- CPR/First Aid: Certification required.
- Medication Administration: Certification.
- TB Test: Must be negative for TB.
The estimated salary range for this role is $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This position offers a low-stress work environment, flexibility, and opportunities for growth and development.
