Overview:

The role involves executing a range of teller and customer service functions as required. The individual is expected to be highly skilled in managing teller transactions and capable of performing essential customer service tasks, such as establishing standard checking, savings, and certificate of deposit accounts, as well as processing account modifications.

Working within defined protocols, policies, and procedures, the individual will market and support all deposit accounts, address various customer inquiries, and ensure prompt resolution of issues. A solid understanding of the bank's diverse deposit and electronic banking offerings is essential. Utilizing needs-based sales strategies, the incumbent will identify referral opportunities and suggest suitable products and services to fulfill customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in a teller or customer service role within a banking branch or call center.
  • Excellent sales, service, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals and thrive in a collaborative team setting.
  • Strong organizational, technical, and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of teller and customer service operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Solid understanding of banking products and services, with a willingness to expand knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in processing various teller transactions and routine customer service tasks.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and respond to customer inquiries with appropriate product recommendations.
  • Assist in opening basic deposit accounts, addressing electronic banking inquiries, and performing account maintenance.
  • Accurately maintain and balance a cash drawer.
  • Deliver exceptional service to customers, colleagues, and team members.
  • Comprehend and adhere to various policies, guidelines, and procedures, including security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing job-related training programs covering sales, service, compliance, and product knowledge.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
