Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our housekeeping team as a Housekeeping Associate at the Pounding Mill VA Hotel.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel to ensure a comfortable and pleasant experience for all guests.

This position requires a hard-working individual with a passion for providing exceptional service and a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms, ensuring all rooms are up to company and industry standards.
  • Change linens, make beds, dust surfaces, vacuum and mop floors, and replenish amenities as needed.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, addressing any concerns and rectifying issues to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in laundry services as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and restocking linens.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage rooms and supply closets.
  • Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation, especially during peak seasons.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate parties.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping within the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that may require bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
