Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Team Member at Michaels. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless shopping experience, and maintaining a well-organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist customers in finding products, answering questions, and providing solutions to meet their needs.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining a high level of cash handling and checkout standards.
  • Engage customers in our Rewards program, Private Label Credit Cards, and Voice of Customer (VOC) survey, promoting a positive shopping experience.
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes, ensuring a well-merchandised and in-stock store.
  • Perform merchandise recovery and maintenance, including returns and general store recovery, to maintain a well-organized store environment.
  • Support shrink and safety programs, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company policies.
  • Interact with colleagues in a positive and respectful manner, promoting a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods, move throughout the store, and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Work Environment

Our store is a public retail setting with climate-controlled areas, some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be required. The Frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
