About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Roadway Engineer to join our team at the State of Oregon. As a Senior Roadway Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, roads, and bridges. You will work closely with our team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, roads, and bridges
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Develop and implement transportation infrastructure plans and policies
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
Requirements
  • Valid Professional Engineer's (PE) license in civil, structural, or transportation-related engineering
  • Three (3) years of journey level professional engineer experience
  • Experience working on roadway and highway design
  • Experience with developing final plans sets (PS&E) and coordinating with construction
  • Experience working with travel demand modeling, traffic and safety analysis, and traffic modeling and simulation
