Job Overview

Mesiba is seeking a skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive guest experience and maintaining high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and control restaurant operations to ensure a positive guest experience and profitability.
  • Direct overall activities and performance of employees on a shift-by-shift basis.
  • Manage the responsible service of alcohol and monitor alcohol awareness.
  • Maintain and inspect dining room, food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee FOH staffing, ensuring adequate staffing and minimizing overtime.
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Assist in ordering food and beverage items and controlling costs and waste.
  • Supervise cleaning and maintenance of equipment and arrange for repairs and services.
  • Prepare reports at the end of each shift.
  • Conduct, track, and oversee regular team member training.

Requirements:

  • Ability to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills.
  • Ability to read reservation notes and/or enter names and notes into reservation systems.
  • Ability to hear well in a loud environment to answer telephones and respond to guest requests.
  • Passion for providing extraordinary service.
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English and basic writing skills.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
  • 6 months experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
  • Physical ability to carry 35 pounds and stand, bend, and move throughout shifts.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and on individual tasks.
  • Ability to work well and efficiently under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of staff and management.
