Production Manager Lead

This key role offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth and development in a fast-paced, dynamic environment at Abbott Laboratories. As a Production Manager Lead, you will play a pivotal part in developing and implementing production plans to maximize resource utilization while meeting production specifications and schedules.
Main Responsibilities:
- You will utilize engineering plans, contracts, and production specifications to create detailed schedules and estimate the necessary resources for successful project execution.
- Monitor production activity closely, analyzing data to ensure that production requirements are met effectively.
- To accommodate backlogs, design changes, or material or labor shortages, adjust schedules as needed to maintain productivity.
- Create work orders for production or purchase requests to facilitate efficient operations.
- Evaluate production specifications and plant capacity data to determine the most effective manufacturing processes.
- Maintain open communication with line personnel on a daily basis and maintain a strong presence on the production floor.
- Oversight of personnel and processes ensures compliance with both internal and external regulations.
- Promote a safe working environment and conduct thorough investigations into safety incidents.
- Develop staffing plans and monitor performance against operational and financial metrics.
Requirements:
- A minimum high school diploma or GED is required, with an associate's degree being preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a production environment is required, either with a degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience supervising up to 35 people is also essential.
- Medical device experience is highly desirable.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this position ranges from $48,000 to $96,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
