Position Overview:

TRC is in search of a Senior Civil Engineer / Team Leader to enhance our Engineering and Remediation Practice. The ideal candidate will be a driven professional eager for career advancement and adept in the design and execution of environmental remediation, stormwater management, wastewater systems, solid waste projects, and general civil engineering initiatives.

Our engineering team supports a variety of challenging projects, primarily for industrial, utility, renewable energy, and public/private sector clients. This role emphasizes the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a project team, showcasing exceptional written and verbal communication, analytical skills, professional judgment, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Civil Engineering Group.
  • Design systems for stormwater management, renewable energy, and solid waste.
  • Prepare project proposals and cost estimates.
  • Oversee project management, including budget and schedule adherence, as well as client relations.
  • Develop permit-level site plans, stormwater management designs, and related documentation.
  • Create construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, and assist with bidding processes.
  • Conduct engineering calculations for storm and sanitary sewer design.
  • Perform grading, drainage, and site layout design and analysis.
  • Research regulatory requirements and assess their relevance to ongoing projects.
  • Supervise fieldwork, including planning and coordinating with subcontractors and clients.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ensure construction quality assurance and oversight.
  • Analyze data, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate with clients and liaise with regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare technical reports and correspondence.
  • Act as Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
  • Implement TRC's safety, quality, and project management protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering consulting and construction.
  • Proficient in stormwater calculations, design, and permitting.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, particularly in grading and surface design.
  • Familiarity with civil site planning.
  • Knowledge of CAD Civil 3D and GIS software is advantageous.
  • Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS and project scheduling tools like Microsoft Project.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • OSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER certification is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and OSHA physicals.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is competitive and varies based on experience, education, skill level, and geographical location.
