Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to participants, parents, and staff, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Site Management: Manage the sports site, ensuring that it is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure that they are meeting their responsibilities.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with staff, participants, and parents, keeping them informed of program details, schedules, and any changes.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., sports management, recreation, education) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a sports or recreation setting, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Certifications: CPR/AED/First Aid certification required; other certifications (e.g., coaching, officiating) may be required depending on the program.
Working Conditions

The Sports Site Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure the smooth operation of programs. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The supervisor will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, and may be required to travel between sites.
