We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the PACU Holding Area at Piedmont Eastside Medical Center. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
About the RoleThe RN PACU Holding Area Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in the holding area, preparing them for surgery, and assisting with post-operative care. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients in the holding area, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and medication administration.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including administering pre-operative medications and ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete.
- Assist with post-operative care, including monitoring patients for complications and providing emotional support to patients and families.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that patients receive high-quality care throughout the surgical process.
To be considered for this role, you must have a current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or a multistate license. BLS certification is also required. One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting is preferred, but new graduates of a nursing program are eligible to apply.
