Key Responsibilities

The staff nurse is responsible for delivering nursing care to patients across all age groups, employing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse operates within the established policies and procedures of the organization, demonstrating professional growth and accountability. Responsibilities include maintaining standards of practice and coordinating patient care activities among all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Required:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Minimum Experience Required:

New graduates of a nursing program are eligible.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required by Law:

Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Georgia or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification is mandatory.

Additional Qualifications:

Advanced certification in the specialty field is preferred. A Bachelor's degree is also preferred. Experience in a hospital setting is advantageous.
