Job Overview

DMG MORI USA, INC is seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our team. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair assistance to customers on location or by telephone.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers on the installation and maintenance of DMG MORI CNC machine tools.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports related to service activities.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve service delivery.
  • Travel extensively throughout the multi-state region to provide on-site support and training to customers.
  • Work closely with the Service Coordinator to ensure seamless communication and coordination of service activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in a technical field of study.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.
  • Experience working with DMG or MORI SEIKI machines, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and/or Siemens and controls is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and sequence (PLC) ladder diagrams.
  • Basic computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands.
Work Environment

Exposure to manufacturing/machining environments which may present possible hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.

General office environment experienced at DMG MORI office.

Physical Demands

Frequent: Travel, operating a vehicle, sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching.

Periodic: Operating power equipment, sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones.

Occasional: Lifting or moving up to 50lbs.
