Purpose of the Position

As a Senior Account Executive at Simmons Foods, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with U.S.-based customers. Your primary goal will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, driving sales growth and revenue expansion for the company.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Account Management: Manage a portfolio of national accounts, achieving set sales targets and developing new and existing accounts, including new products, packaging requirements, pricing programs, and cost analysis.
  2. Business Development: Service and formulate business growth with existing customers, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with internal and external customers.
  3. Sales Solutions: Attend critical meetings, providing business reviews and sales solutions to all levels of the organization, and manage up when necessary to get answers and share information.
  4. Problem-Solving: Intently listen to customers, place immediate action to situations, and provide solutions the first time, drawing on internal Simmons Foods experts as required.
  5. Team Participation: Participate as a member of the team, fostering strong cohesiveness regarding major issues, and accept responsibility to quickly identify areas that lack cohesiveness.
  6. Operating Systems: Familiarize yourself with Simmons established operating systems, including quality, security, office environment, company policies, and LEAN, and understand the responsibility to maintain familiarity with these systems.
Requirements
  • 1-5 years of experience in various sales support categories, including store brand sales, mass pet food specialty, food service, or feed ingredients.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, strong planning and analysis skills, and excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Preferring a food organization and a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field or 4 years of related work experience.
