Responsibilities:


The Maintenance Engineer II is responsible for ensuring that the property is maintained in optimal condition with minimal disruption to guests and staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Replacing and programming televisions as necessary.
  • Changing light switches, receptacles, light bulbs, and fixtures.
  • Conducting furniture repairs.
  • Performing plumbing repairs, including addressing clogged drains and changing fittings.
  • Tracing and repairing various water lines.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
  • Testing, cleaning, and repairing swimming pools and spas.
  • Painting designated areas as needed.
  • Repairing and programming the hotel’s electronic lock system.
  • Assisting in scheduling preventive maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year of experience in a hotel or related field required.

At least two years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred. Trade school and/or college coursework in a related field is a plus.

Flexibility and the ability to work long hours are sometimes required.
This position involves heavy work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects exceeding 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.

Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with employees and guests in a courteous and service-oriented manner.

Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines is crucial.
Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and attentive manner.

Regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards is required, along with maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming.

Comply with hotel standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
Maximize productivity efforts and assist in identifying and implementing solutions to problems.

Must be able to understand and apply complex information from various sources to meet objectives.
Cross-training in other hotel-related areas may be required.

Maintain confidentiality of information and demonstrate initiative by anticipating guest or operational needs.
Perform other duties as requested by management.


$22.50/hr.
