Associate Settlement Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Settlements Specialist to join our team at Lamb Weston. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for resolving trade and non-trade disputes, analyzing deductions, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Dispute Resolution
  • Validate daily non-trade disputes and deductions from ERP reports
  • Review and validate coding of disputes and deductions created by cash application team
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for missing information required to validate deductions
• Deductions Analysis
  • Analyze and identify root causes of deductions and work with cross-functional teams to reduce/eliminate recurring deductions
  • Submit validated deductions for approvals as per approval hierarchy
• Customer Relationships
  • Dispute invalid deductions with external customers to receive repayment
  • Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure timely resolution
• Analytics and Reporting
  • Conduct and lead detailed dispute and deduction trend analytics based on dispute and deduction patterns
  • Work with Sales, Logistics, Freight, and other departments for proactive resolution and approach to fix processes to prevent deductions in future
• Other Duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the business

• Education
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred
• Experience
  • 1-3 years accounts receivable, credit, collections, and/or trade or non-trade deduction resolution experience required
• Skills
  • Research, strong problem-solving, mathematical, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency with MS Office required
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize multiple systems and draw appropriate conclusions
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player, be organized, and plan ahead
• Language Skills
  • Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Spanish knowledge is an added advantage.
