Job Title: Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at ProMedica Physicians Group - Adult Endocrinology. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care services under supervision, demonstrating a commitment to ProMedica's values.
  • Work closely with providers and leadership to improve the patient experience through daily patient care, clerical support, and ongoing projects.
  • Prepare patients for visits by taking vital signs, documenting orders, and arranging support services.
  • Perform specialized tests and procedures as needed, adhering to clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Support a variety of clerical office functions, including calls, documentation, and scanning.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and coworkers, actively participating in staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with leadership to recommend changes that improve patient care, safety, and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Able to promote a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and patient experience.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, problem-solve, and work cooperatively with faculty and staff.
  • BLS (CPR) certification, with a current course card from the AHA at time of employment or within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of a recognized MA program at an accredited college or university.
  • 1+ years of experience in direct patient care.
  • Applicable medical certification (MA, EMT, STNA, etc.).
