About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Engineering Professor to join our team at Tacoma Community College. As an Engineering Professor, you will be responsible for teaching introductory Engineering courses and mentoring student teams.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and teach Engineering Design, with an emphasis on teamwork, project management, design process, and service learning.
  • Prepare and teach parametric solid modeling using SolidWorks software to create virtual models.
  • Prepare and teach hand-drawing as a tool for visualization.
  • Prepare and lead previously developed in-class design activities.
  • Interface with clients in regard to service learning projects.
  • Prepare and teach other freshmen and sophomore transfer engineering courses.
  • Mentor student teams and evaluate student work.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in engineering or closely related field from an accredited college or university, or comparable professional credentials.
  • Experience teaching college level engineering courses.
