Job Title: Engineering Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified Engineering Professor to join our faculty at Tacoma Community College. As an Engineering Professor, you will be responsible for teaching introductory Engineering courses and mentoring student teams.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Engineering or a closely related field and experience teaching college-level Engineering courses. We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and mentoring students, and who can infuse technology into the teaching and learning process.

Responsibilities
  • Teach introductory Engineering courses, including Engineering Design and parametric solid modeling using SolidWorks software.
  • Mentor student teams and evaluate student work.
  • Interface with clients in regard to service learning projects.
  • Prepare and lead previously developed in-class design activities.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in engineering or closely related field from an accredited college or university, or comparable professional credentials.
  • Experience teaching college level engineering courses.
